Project Manager

The Project Manager reports directly to the Technical Department / Plant Management

Job requirements:

  • TU/HTS, Mechanical Engineering or Marine Technology with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Marine, Dredging and Offshore industry
  • Excellent managing and negotiating skills;
  • Solid knowledge of the English language (both verbal and in writing);
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail;
  • Prepared to work on assignments abroad or offshore.

Job tasks:

  • Focus all activities in order to meet overall corporate objectives and project departmental tasks;
  • Familiarise and comply with the Customer Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management system;
  • Provide continuity between different project phases and functional hand-over;
  • Collect, implement and use know-how and experience for the purpose of improving customer service;
  • Promote and support continuous improvement activities within the project department;
  • Initiate and comply with all activities focused on meeting overall corporate objectives and project departmental objectives;
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and corporate management system;
  • Familiarise with the project requirements upon assignment to the project; 
  • Act as contact for the client, authorities and subcontractors;
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of the project execution plan;
  • Co-ordinate the project activities with other projects and disciplines to obtain an optimum performance of the entire organisation;
  • Establish the project organisation in co-operation with discipline heads;
  • Approve all project documents and the use thereof;
  • Approval all project purchases;
  • Co-ordinate all activities related to subcontracts;
  • Supervise project internal and external cost reporting;
  • Identify and approve concessions, variation requests and changes to the contract and subcontracts;
  • Co-ordinate the offshore work;
  • Supervise preparation of as-built documentation;
  • Onpass know-how and experience gained on the project;
  • Supervise preparation of project close out reports.
